The Andy Griffith Show of the 1960's was set in the fictional town of Mayberry, which was based on Andy Griffith's real home town of Mt. Airy, North Carolina. The show featured characters such as Aunt Bee, Deputy Barney Fife, Floyd Lawson the barber, and Goober Pyle and Gomer Pyle. The show took place mostly at the Mayberry courthouse, Andy's house, Floyd's Barber Shop, and Wally's Service station. Featured players were Don Knotts, Francis Bavier, Ron Howard, Howard McNear, Jim Nabors, and George Lindsey.
